London Waterloo is 60 minutes away by train. Plan a day trip to visit the many varied attractions of our Capital City.
Sport
The Madejski stadium, home of Reading F.C. and London Irish is close by. This modern stadium hosts many major fixtures in both the rugby and football calendars. It’s approximately 20 minutes away by car.
The Ascot, Sandown and Newbury racecourse are all a short journey away.

Basingstoke has a shopping centre to be proud of at Festival Place. There’s a large variety of shops, restaurants, bars and a Vue cinema. Basingstoke is 15 minutes along the A30, and one stop by train.
Alternatively, Reading’s Oracle is another recent development that makes the shopping experience even more enjoyable.
Business
Many business parks are within easy reach, including Hooks’ own Bartley Wood business park. Basingstoke’s Houndmills, Chineham and Daneshill business parks are also just along the road.
